In honor and memory of Debra Griggs, ART would like to recognize a Champion for Animals in the southside Tidewater area (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk). This person should embody the values of ART and our founder, including being a proponent of spay/neuter and no-kill policies. We are looking for a citizen who dedicates their time and efforts to animals in their community whether it be through boots-on-the-ground action, leadership, education or advocacy. Nominations may be based on a sustained effort or an extraordinary single achievement.
The Debra Griggs Champion for Animals will be recognized publicly through ART’s social media and a donation of $1000 will be made in their name to one of three charitable animals organizations of their choice.
The winner will be asked to provide three local 501(c)3 organizations that help animals that they would like to honor. One organization will be chosen by ART that we feel best supports our mission.
