Happy and Healthy Finally
Poor Ziggy had lost his parents a short time ago because they lost their home. He went to stay with a friend who unfortunately kept him outside chained to a tree. He developed wounds on his chest from the chains and an infection in his eye, not to mention he was riddled with fleas. When his owners found out what had happened to him, they took him back and he ended up with a foster mom named Lori. Ziggy is gentle, loving and quite obedient despite his negative experience. Lori provided a loving environment for him to recover but could not pay medical costs. She reached out to ART for medical help so Ziggy could heal and find a new forever home. ART sent Ziggy to the vet for an exam, shots and care only to find out he had heartworms and lyme disease. We put him on medication for lyme disease and raised $480 to cover his heartworm treatment. We are proud to report that Ziggy is healthy now and happy in his new home.
