Animal Resources of Tidewater since 1999 has changed and grown to meet the needs of the community. Through grants and donations, we have proudly established programs to improve the lives of companion animals in Hampton Roads: SpayHR, Community Medical Assistance, Legislative Policy Advocacy and the Pit Bull Awareness Coalition.

Sampson
Five month Sampson injured his spine while playing which caused swelling and prevented his brain from getting message to move back legs. The poor thing could not control his legs. His owners are very young and could not afford the cost of treatment. ART was able to help with the bills thanks to our amazing donors and Sustaining Members. Thank you!
Rufus
We neutered Rufus through our low cost SpayHR clinic. His mama says: “I am thankful for you guys and the low cost clinic. Without your help I wouldn’t have been able to get my precious boy neutered. Thank you so much for being here!” Thank you to all who donate and to our Sustaining Members who make our clinics possible.
Fruit Snack
We are happy to introduce Fruit Snack. She is a feral kitty living in a colony cared for by volunteers. Her care taker’s grandkids named her Fruit Snack, just adorable! She’s a cute and spunky gal who somehow injured her eye and needed some help. ART was able to spay this sweet girl, get surgery for her eye and get her vaccinated. She was monitored while she healed and is now back with her colony doing just fine. (We also had her boyfriend neutered). Her caretaker is so thankful for the assistance and we want to say thanks to all of our supporters and Sustaining Members for the donations that made this possible.
