Precious

A feral kitten has a new chance.
Precious was a feral kitten who was rescued by a concerned citizen and taken to the emergency vet. Her little leg seemed to be disconnected somehow. She was unable to walk or play like a normal kitten. After a visit to the vet, it was determined she had a “dead limb” and amputation was recommended. ART reached out to our generous donors and Sustaining Members and raised the funds needed for the surgery. Hope for Life Rescue agreed to take her into foster care, socialize her, and find her a home. This is truly a community effort to save a life – love and compassion at its best!

Lou Lou

Lou Lou got a new mouth.
Lou Lou was found on the side of the road. She was missing hair and her skin was quite raw and itchy. After unsuccessfully searching for her owners, the woman who found her nursed her back to health. Her mouth was in terrible shape with missing and decayed teeth and she needed dental care to stop the pain and prevent further health issues. Lou Lou’s savior desperately wanted to keep her but was unable to pay the cost of her dental. Thanks to our donors and Sustaining Members, ART was able to help with the procedure. Lou Lou is now happy and healthy and is in this loving home that she so much she deserves.

Malachi

Malachi all better and still with his family!
Malachi was not able to urinate and was in a life threatening situation. After a trip to the emergency vet and several days at his regular vet for kidney flushing, his condition had not improved.  His owner spent $600 on vet bills and had exhausted her resources, but Malachi still needed more medical care, so she came to ART for help. In her application she stated, “it breaks my heart to think we might have to make the decision to put him down just because we can’t afford treatment.” Our donors came through in full force and ART was able to help sweet Malachi and prevent the euthanasia. He is now a healthy boy going about his business. Thank you to everyone who donated!
